Behind the Brand of The Royal Haven

The founder Mercedes Mitchell established The Royal Haven in July of 2024 and later secured a physical location for her practice in July 2025 in Marietta, GA.

When it came to thinking of the perfect name for her private practice, she wanted it to be with intention. Ms. Mitchell knew she wanted it to honor her late grandmother, Royal Scott.

One day, while on the phone bouncing name ideas with her friend she heard “The Royal Haven” be suggested and she immediately shedded tears. The feeling was powerful and it was as if her grandmother had instantly approved.

Ms. Mitchell and her grandmother’s bond was something truly special. She became her grandmother’s in home care taker towards her later years in life. When Ms. Mitchell moved from Michigan to Georgia for college she unfortunately lost one of the special people in her life - her grandmother. Her grandmother provided her with security. She felt heard and seen by her, which is exactly what Ms. Mitchell aims to do for her clients.
